The 2nd loudest resonator eliminator we offer using the same size tubing as the original exhaust into larger 4" all stainless exhaust tips.

Mildly aggressive with none to very little interior resonance on the quietest 340hp exhaust. More aggressive and some interior resonance on both of the straight-thru 350hp exhaust.

There are 3 different center mufflers that come stock on a Hemi LX.

1st: The 300c and early Magnums and Chargers that come with a stock rolled edge tips all have a 2 pass center where the exhaust dumps into an open chamber through a 2 1/2" tube, across the chamber and out another 2 1/2" tube, this is the quieter of the three.

2nd: One of the louder muffler comes on later Magnums and most Charger R/T. This muffler has one straight thru perforated core and is the next loudest. It also has a thin edge tip like the Daytona.

3rd : It comes on the Daytona and Chargers with the Road & Track pkg. and also the 300c SRT design. This also has a straight thru perforated core but with less perforations then the std. straight thru and will be the loudest of the three.

I purchased the 225X4 kit, with resonated tips; and I can assure you, this is a high quality product. The pipes were shipped quickly and packaged very nicely - no damage. The hanger mount locations were spot-on.. They fit like a glove; and with the included instructions, the installation took less than half an hour. I used a Saws-All, with a good metal cutting blade, to cut off the old system; and the new Fat Pipes slipped right over the remaining portion of the existing pipes. The included clamps worked well - very similar to the OEM clamps located further up the system. The big chrome tips look great.  I found the sound to be throaty upon any acceleration. At approx. 1600 to 2000 RPM, the system gets a bit loud, if you are in a lower gear. Once out of that range - either by gear change or RPM / load change, it mellows out just fine. When cruising, you can barely hear it, no drone at highway speed either. It was EXACTLY what I wanted for my HEMI Charger.

Let me begin with saying that the packing was perfect and not a dent or scratch on them. They are of high quality (welds were painted to help prevent rust) Sounds exactly what I would expect a hemi to sound like. The only real drone I have experienced is when it is first being driven but fades in a short time, keeping the throaty roar of the exhaust intact. I have the K&N intake so it is a little louder than usual but it will not bother your neighbors. All in all, Great set up!!!

I was a bit concerned about how the 4" pipes would fit into the bumper cutouts, but they fit perfectly and look amazing on my 2006 Magnum R/T with the "quiet" three-pass muffler.  

 The sound is bassy and a bit louder than I was hoping for at low rpms but it settles down once you get moving.  At the low rpms, the bass note will resonate through the chassis such that you can feel it in the floor board and in the peddles.  But, this also goes away once you start to pick up some speed (say 10-15 mph).  In the V4 mode, it isn't much louder than stock.  With the radio off at 65 mph you can hear it purring (not exhaust drone!!) behind you while still easily having a conversation (no need to speak louder).  Turn the radio on and you will quickly forget about it.

If you are looking for a better looking exhaust with a little more sound without dropping tons of money, this is your exhaust kit!!
